Recon and Gamut Industries Announce the Re-Launch of Reconstore.com

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- From the Recon booth at MAGIC's High 5 Campground in Las Vegas, Recon and Gamut Industries today announced the re-launch of Reconstore.com, the online extension of the contemporary lifestyle brand with flagship stores in New York, San Francisco, and Tokyo. As part of the re-launch, Recon and Gamut Industries are also introducing Recon Mobile (www.reconstore.com/mobile), an attached mobile boutique that will offer mobile graphics that match Recon clothing designs and prepaid artist-designed phone content cards.

"Technology has always been part of the inspiration behind the Recon brand, manifesting itself in our use of fabrics, printing techniques, and the basic functionality of our garments," said Recon co-founder Stash. "I am excited to be able to offer these same concepts via our website. Beyond that, by using mobile technology, we are able to communicate the Recon lifestyle aesthetic to a mass audience."

"Our effort has been to give Recon an online and mobile presence worthy of the brand," said Lon Clark, creative director at Gamut Industries, "and to create as much synergy as possible between Recon's physical and virtual world offerings." At launch, people who purchase certain Recon clothing items will be given codes that will allow them to download wallpaper with matching designs to their mobile phones. Also available will be a set of three artist series content cards featuring designs by Stash, Futura, and Mark Veca. In addition to being collectibles in and of themselves, the cards will allow users to download limited edition graphics to their phones.

"We are pleased to have had the opportunity to work with Recon on the re-launch of their website, and equally pleased to have had a chance to demonstrate how mobile can augment a brand," said David Moranville, managing director of Gamut Industries. "We are committed to helping forward-looking companies make their presence felt in the online and mobile environments."
